Guided by our signature 7 Stones Philosophy, our programs draw inspiration from leading educational pioneers including Howard Gardner and Maria Montessori, alongside the child-centred, exploratory principles of Reggio Emilia approach.
Music is at the heart of everything we do. Through singing, rhythm, movement, storytelling, and play, children naturally build language, literacy, numeracy, social, and physical skills in a joyful and engaging environment. Inspired by the Kodály method and Orff Schulwerk approaches, our programs help children develop confidence, coordination, creativity, and a lifelong connection to music and discovery.

Since opening in 2009, Bonkers Beat Music Kinder has undergone multiple assessments, achieving an Exceeding rating in 2012, 2016, 2021, and 2025. In 2018, the service was awarded the highest possible rating—Excellent.
Our programs are led by university-qualified early childhood educators who nurture each child’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We focus on building strong relationships, encouraging independent thinking, and supporting every child’s journey toward school readiness in a caring and engaging environment.

To meet government funding requirements, children attend at least 15 hours per week (a minimum of two days).
At Bonkers Beat, we also recognise the importance of emotional and social readiness. In line with research on early childhood development, we welcome children into our 3- and 4-year-old programs who have already turned the required age before January of their attending year.
That’s why Bonkers Beat Music Kinder operates 52 weeks a year, closing only on public holidays and two staff curriculum days—so you won’t need to arrange additional care during school holidays.

Our centre follows best practices aligned with Australian Child Safety Standards, with daily routines and thoughtful systems designed to support every child’s wellbeing. Learning spaces are open and well supervised, educators always work closely together, and clear visibility is maintained indoors and outdoors. Daily safety checks, risk assessments, and regular emergency drills are part of our everyday practice.
Our trusted team all hold valid Working With Children Checks, complete ongoing training, and follow clear child safety policies. Personal phones are never used in learning or outdoor spaces, allowing educators to stay fully present and engaged with children at all times.

Healthy & Nutritious Meals Made with Love. Healthy eating habits begin early, and we believe every mealtime is an opportunity to nourish growing bodies and minds. Our freshly prepared meals are thoughtfully created by experienced chefs and cooks using wholesome ingredients, vibrant seasonal produce, and menus designed in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines.
Beyond simply serving food, we create positive mealtime experiences that encourage children to enjoy nutritious choices, build healthy habits, and develop a lifelong love of good food. Families often tell us their children eat better at Bonkers Beat than they do at home — and we love hearing it.

At Bonkers Beat Music Kinder, children benefit from a unique, high-quality learning environment where strong relationships, smaller group sizes and passionate educators help every child thrive. We encourage families to choose Bonkers Beat as their funded kinder, allowing children to build confidence, continuity and strong connections.
2-Year-Old Junior Program. A warm and nurturing multi-aged environment for children aged 2 to 3.5 years. The smaller group setting allows educators to provide personalised support. Children must be 2 years old before commencing at Bonkers Beat.
3-Year-Old Funded Kinder Program. Led by a Degree Qualified Teacher and supported by qualified educators, with a strong focus on social development, independence, creativity and school readiness skills. Children must turn 3 years old by January of their attending year and be fully toilet trained.
4-Year-Old Funded Pre-School Program. Led by an experienced Degree Qualified Teacher, our music-based approach and personalised learning help children develop the skills they need for a smooth and successful transition to school. Children must turn 4 years old before January of their attending year.

Bonkers Beat® began with a simple idea — that children learn best when they are joyful, active, and deeply engaged. What started in Victoria as a creative music and movement program soon grew into something much bigger. Supported by passionate educators and embraced by families, Bonkers Beat® Music and Bonkers Gym® have now been enriching children’s lives for over 19 years, even earning recognition as innovative practices by the Department of Education & Early Childhood Development.
