Embracing Continuous Learning this Education Week and Beyond

This week is Education Week — a week dedicated to celebrating the power of education and its immeasurable impact in shaping the future. From 14 May to Saturday 20 May 2023, let’s all make an extra effort to recognise just how important education is and the role we play as educators.

This year’s Education Week theme is ‘Active Learners: Move, Make, Motivate’, focusing on physical activity, hands-on learning and student voice in education. In the spirit of Education Week, the Victorian government has developed an Early Childhood Celebration Kit. This comprehensive resource is designed to help educators, families, and communities celebrate early childhood education. It includes a range of engaging activities, information, and resources that highlight the significance of early learning and care.

While we hone in on Education Week, let’s also take the time to focus on the importance of continuous learning in life too. This includes educators, leaders and managers in early childhood education. To contribute to the upskilling and continual learning journey of those in our valuable sector, we are excited to present our latest event: ‘7 Steps’.

‘7 Steps’ has been designed to empower leaders and managers in early childhood education. At Bonkers Beat we have seen firsthand the significance of continuous learning for those with careers in early childhood education.

‘7 Steps’ will be an engaging and interactive session to provide a platform for professionals to enhance their leadership abilities, gain valuable insights, and connect with like-minded individuals. You will discover innovative approaches, learn from experienced educators, and gain practical tools that you can implement right away! ‘7 Steps’ takes place on Wednesday 21 June from 2pm – 4pm via Zoom. Don’t miss out — register here!

Be inspired by Education Week — let’s renew our commitment to upholding the highest quality education standard, for now and for many years to come!
