Reflecting on what has come to pass is a vital part of being able to move forward with strength and optimism. 

Knowledge is power after all, and there’s no doubt that 2022 has provided lessons that we can carry through to 2023 and beyond.

As the year comes to an end, let’s take a moment to look back and reflect on everything that 2022 brought to us — the triumphs and the challenges. 

Most of us in the early childhood education sector will agree that the last year has been testing. While we didn’t have the intense restrictions and new protocols of the previous couple of years, there were other issues that arose. Staff shortages made keeping services running very difficult at times. On top of that, illness for children and staff contributed to the difficulties faced by many services and families.

Through these challenges we were able to build resilience and put problem-solving skills to use. We saw so many of our dedicated educators, directors, owners and families coming together to overcome everything that 2022 threw at them. 

The year also had plenty of positives that we must shine a light on. Bonkers Beat members continued to inspire us at Wellness Summits, connecting with other services virtually. Meanwhile events at our very own Bonkers Beat Kinder were back in 2022 and better than ever — the feedback and smiles say it all! Children have shown again and again the incredible grit they have and we are so proud.

We also saw our hard-work make a valuable contribution across the early childhood education sector via the School Readiness Funding program and our new library of ready-to-use printable resources created to support educators. 

And we’ve rounded out the year with the introduction of our new super affordable pricing structure for the Bonkers Beat programs which has already been so well-received!

We hope that you have been able to take the time to reflect on everything you overcame and achieved in 2022 — we feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many kind-hearted, inspiring people. And as for what the journey looks like in 2023, we hope it’s going to be your best year yet!
